hope to use my art to not only inspire aesthetic beauty, but to also
preserve a moment in time, as each and every second is so fleeting.
Ever since I was little I have enjoyed creating. At the age of 3 I told my mom that I wanted to be an artist and began pursuing it from there.I attended James Madison University and received a Bachelors of Fine Art with a concentration in Painting and Drawing. It was there that I really pursued my passion for representation work with regards to people and eventually animals. While at JMU I participated in several one person shows of my work.
In 2003 I began painting pet portraits for several different stores in Richmond and the Charleston South Carolina area. After having my first child I also began to see my girls as the perfect subject matters as well.
With each drawing or painting I look for the snapshot of life not the formal portrait. Thank you for your interest and I look forward to working with you.
